Message from the President

Dear ISBN Members & Friends:

Thank you so much for helping us build momentum since our conference this past May at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island, FL. Since that time, we have added several new members, launched a very successful webinar series, significantly improved our communications and visibility, and are connecting members in a more meaningful way.

Our new members are excited about connecting with you, learning from you and helping advance the professional beauty industry. We also have two great nominations for the board of directors, and we’re excited about the strength of the organization.

To keep our momentum growing, I would like to ask for your help. I know that every one of you has a strong network of industry relationships and connections through your local or state associations, manufacturers and other peer groups. I would like to ask each of you to refer someone to ISBN to learn about the membership opportunities and help us leverage the momentum that we have.

I love what Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg says about personal recommendations and referrals: “People influence people. Nothing influences people more than a recommendation from a trusted friend. A trusted referral influences people more than the best broadcast message.” At last count, Mark had more than 1 billion “friends” using Facebook.

So think about whom you might be able to refer to ISBN and send their contact information to Valorie Reavis, executive director, with any other details and links you have that might be helpful. She and I will follow-up with every referral that you provide and make sure that these new potential members have a good understanding of the benefits of membership of ISBN.

We look forward to hearing from you and receiving your referrals!

Thank you,

Rhoda Olsen
ISBN President
