We’ve never been afraid to be pioneers at PENZONE Salons + Spas, so when Valorie Tate offered us the chance to takeover the ISBN Facebook page for five days this August, we agreed immediately. Social media provides a perfect vehicle to do what ISBN does best – to share our experiences with one another so we all benefit. And we plan to do just that.
[column size=’1/3′]Our takeover, which starts on August 13 and runs until August 17, will kick off with posts introducing our brands. They include the new salon concept we opened this May in Dublin, Ohio, where we combine a holistic approach to beauty with mindfulness. We’ll share how our other new brands, Royal Rhino Club Barbershop & Lounge and LIT Life + Yoga, have been infused into our new concept. The story of how we reinvented our 50 year old brand will also be shared. We’ll show you what works for us and why.[/column]
Our aim is to inspire businesses at any stage to boldly pursue what’s possible.
The highlight of our Facebook hijack, we hope, will be a live session at 11am EST on Thursday August 16, where I will personally lead a tour of the new concept salon. I’ll be able to show you the Social Room that has created a vibrant sense of community, where guests come early to appointments and stay later, and even meet their friends. You’ll see our café, with its plant-based food menu and organic juices. And of course, you’ll see how our guest experience has evolved throughout all other areas of the salon and spa.
During the tour, I’ll focus on the processes and procedures to really explain how our company works, including a close-up of the retail area. I call it a retail area, but actually it’s more a shoppable boutique with items from local entrepreneurs and artisans. We offer books on wellbeing and mindfulness, jewelry from a local artist and aromatherapy products as well as the usual hair and beauty lines we carry. The focus is more lifestyle than simply beauty and it has helped us increase retail sales over 20% since we opened!
Our tour will be live so if you have questions, you’ll be able to post as I do the tour. Our marketing team will monitor the feed to share questions so I can answer on air. If we aren’t able to get to all questions, or if you think of something after the tour concludes, we’ll answer them in a Q+A format and put them in a second blog to post here on the website.
I hope you’ll all tune in to watch and engage. I’m looking forward to reading your comments and questions. And if, on seeing the salon, you’d like a closer look, reach out! We’d love to host in-person visits at PENZONE Salon + Spa Dublin – and if it’s later this winter, at our Short North location which is next to open!
