The International SalonSpa Business Network (ISBN) recently elected Peter Mahoney, owner of Head Shoppe companies, and Scott Missad, president/CEO of Gene Juarez Salons & Spas, to its Board of Trustees. Mahoney and Missad join the ISBN board in leading the owners and senior executives of the only international association for multi-unit salon and spa companies in growing both their own businesses, as well as the professional beauty industry. They will also serve as ambassadors to the industry for ISBN. Finally, they will help create content for ISBN’s Annual Conference (May 22-24, 2016, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA), as well as ongoing webinars and educational programs.
Mahoney owns the Head Shoppe group of companies, Atlantic Canada’s largest chain of full-service salons. With a background in business (MBA), his visionary and leadership accomplishments have been recognized with the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. (SCII) in 1996, a consulting company that provides education and coaching on topics such as leadership, financial business planning and communication for independent salons and spas, as well as for chains with more than 800 salons across North America.
